Music Monday 2019

I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break! We are all excited for the last three months of school and one of my favourite days is Music Monday!!!! This year, the song all the children in Canada will be singing and playing together on Monday May 6th is Oscar Peterson's "Hymn to Freedom". It's one of my favourite songs to sing and I know everyone is going to love learning it! The choir has started rehearsing and have asked for a practice video so I found one that is pretty close to how we will be performing it. Here it is!

2019!

Welcome Back Everyone! 2019 is going to be an amazing year with our fabulous Linden Meadows Students. We have so many plans for the music program and I am very excited for the months ahead. The Grade 3-5 Choir was back at it today learning 2 new songs! We are preparing for the Winnipeg Music Festival and patiently awaiting our performance date. Here are the song that we will be performing so that the students can practice at home.

Holiday Concert 2018

We are very excited to announce the 2018 Holiday Concerts on Dec.18! The K-2's will be performing "A Very Bear-y Holiday" at 1:30 and 6:00 and the Grade 3-5 students will be performing "The Linden Meadows Holiday Talent Show" at 2:30 and 7:00. Everyone is busy practicing lines for auditions and learning the music. Below are a few videos to help everyone with their practicing.

A Wish for Peace

The Grade 3-5 Choir will be singing " A Wish for Peace" at the Remembrance Day assembly on Nov.9, 2018. Here is a video to sing along to at home for practice.

Welcome Back to School Linden Meadows! We had our annual flag raising on the first day of school. It is such a wonderful tradition and I look forward to it every year. We have an exciting 2018-2019 year ahead with choirs, festivals, assemblies and concerts to perform at!! Our first choir rehearsal for the Grade 3-5 students is on September 20th at 12:15. The Grade 2 Choir has already started rehearsing and they sound fabulous. I wish a beautiful year ahead to every single student and remember to always work hard and "Practice Makes Progress"!!

This is for the Grade 3-5 Choir to practice for our Canada Day Assembly. We will have a special guest guitarist!
