Choir 2022

We are baaaaaaaack!! Mrs. Dueck is so excited to have all of LM's eager singers back in the music room on Day 4's for choir. We are currently preparing to perform at the Remembrance Day Assembly and the song we have chosen is called "A Song of Peace". You can hear it in their voices when they sing that these kids truly wish for Peace around the world which makes this song so meaningful. Below are is a lyric video for you to practice at home.

Back to School 2022!

Welcome back to School 2022!! Even though we started to feel back to normal last year already, we are really feeling it now! Our risers are back, our drums are back and there is no stopping us! We will sing and dance and feel the joy of music again. The Grade 3-5 Choir will start back up on Day 4 at lunch and I am super excited for that! It's December!! We are super excited to record our virtual holiday concert "Freeze Frame" on December 15th! Alot of hard work and preparation is happening right now and the students are asking for the lyrics to take home so they can practice because Practice makes Progress!! Mrs. Hewlett made us the beautiful book of most of our songs with background music and everything! This book is best opened with Chrome. We hope to have the video edited and out to you before the break!

Welcome Back to school everyone! I am especially excited for 2021-2022 because we are back in the music room!! We are singing and playing instruments as safely as can be and loving it. Welcome Back to School

Hi Everyone! Welcome back to Linden Meadows. Music class is going to look a little different for the next little while. We won't be singing or playing instruments for now but my hope is that we will be able to get back into the music room very soon. For most classes, I will be "a la carte" and rolling into your class. Let's make the best of this and have some fun making music in different ways!

Choir Song for Conference

The choir is scheduled to sing on May 2nd at the CAYC conference for their closing ceremonies with Elder Winston Wuttunee. I did not get a chance to teach the song to the kids this week because of our extra curricular activites being canceled so I thought I would put the song and video on the blog here for the kids. Maybe we will get a chance next year to perform!

Last day of school before December break and the choir was at rehearsal full of excitement to learn the new music for the Winnipeg Music Festival. They requested videos to sing along to so here they are! The bottom two videos are for the Grade 2 choir going to the Pembina Trails Sings Music Festival.

LM!

Today we sang our school song! Linden Meadows has so much positive energy and it showed today when we sang LM! I have made a lyric video if anyone wants to sing along at home. I am very proud to work at Linden Meadows and when we premiered this song at our 25th anniversary in 2016 I knew it was going to be a hit!

Arctic Animals and Home for the Holidays

Its the most wonderful time of the year!! Holiday Concert Time!! We are well underway practicing our song for December 11th. Grade K-2 will have shows at 1:30 and 6:00 and Grade 3-5 will have shows at 2:30 and 7:00. Very exciting!! As always I promise to post videos for students to practice. Here they are! Unfortunately not all of our songs have videos. I'm going to have to learn how to do it myself!
